Service AreaEducation ServicesGrade: - Lecturer Scale - £35,552 - £63,513 per annumFull TimeThe States of Guernsey is looking for a Lecturer in Engineering to join the team at the College of Further Education.The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and innovative lecturer is required to take an important role in the delivery of full time, part time and apprenticeship courses in Engineering. The position will require the delivery of both practical workshop and theoretical curriculum from level 1 to level 5 (Higher Education).Working with the Programme Leader and the wider department team, the lecturer will plan, provide and monitor high quality teaching and assessment of students' work.The lecturer will also provide support and guidance in preparing students for further/higher education, training or employment. The lecturer will have an outward facing approach to engaging students in the wider community, and vice versa, to ensure that they gain a vocationally relevant and enriching experience. The postholder will report to the Programme Leader, but will work with a range of colleagues across a number of areas in the College (The Guernsey Institute) so will be used to dealing with multiple priorities.Please click on the link below to view a full job description for this role.This role comes with a competitive salary and entitlement to a pension scheme.For candidates who would be required to relocate to the Bailiwick of Guernsey, we also offer a relocation package to help with the cost of moving over to the Island.
