Service AreaLaw EnforcementGrade: - Police Inspector 031-034 - £73,083 - £79,219 per annum, together with the Hampshire Allowance of £1,623 per annum.Full TimeThe States of Guernsey are seeking to recruit Police Inspectors / Detective Inspectors to join Bailiwick of Guernsey Law Enforcement.Inspectors provide leadership and management of critical incidents and calls for service, effectively and efficiently deploying resources, in line with the Guernsey Police Service Delivery Plan and organisational policies, including pre-planned events.The post holder will ensure the safety of officers, staff and the public, and respond effectively to problems, incidents and crime.This role carries specific legal powers to enable the maintenance of law and order. Post holders will be senior operational officers and may also manage assigned specialist policing functions. The post holder will be required to undertake the role of review officer and identification officer in accordance with PPACE and to be able to oversee the management of persons in police detention. A link to access your Law Enforcement Vetting e-Form will then be sent to you via email by the Guernsey Vetting Unit.In order to satisfy residency criteria, you need to have been resident in the UK or Guernsey for a period of 3 years. The calculation of the period of time refers to the period immediately before an application is made and not any other period or accumulation of time spent in the UK or Guernsey.
