- Managing e-mail and telephone calls
- Assist the Relationship Managers with all aspects of account opening from providing the blank set of documentation to answering any questions with regards to the completion of the documents. Once the documentation has been received the RMA would also do the following:
- Review the documentation for completeness
- Review and confirm that sufficient information is contained within the client profile / KYC / Investment Profile to proceed with the account opening.
- Undertake the initial risk assessment and liaise with Risk Legal & Compliance and Client Documentation Services to arrange for the sign off of risk and also open the account.
- Arrange client access to eBanking.
- Control client transactions, including:
- Payment control and authorisation i.e. independent verification of signatures, check balances and credit warnings, consider due diligence on the transaction, making such further enquiry of the RM as may be required and if necessary arrange account to be sufficiently covered
- Security trading
- Foreign exchange transactions
- Fixed deposits
- Post Transaction Alert Management – review alerts in CRM and analyse information given by RM against profile held for completeness, making such further enquiry of the RM as may be required.
- Corporate Actions – Answer any queries received from the RM/Client on Corporate Actions.
- Regular risk / documentation reviews and follow up.
- On-going Compliance and Admin tasks which include KYC, CDD updates, regular and objective AML and risk assessments.
- Chasing outstanding documentation from RM/Client.
- Account Closing.
- Ad-Hoc Projects for Bank/Department.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with clients and other departments within Guernsey / Julius Baer Locations
- A Guernsey Financial Advice Standard (GFAS) Level 4 qualification is required for this role though candidates who are currently studying for this are encouraged to apply. For the right individual there is the opportunity to progress into a Relationship Manager role and support will be given to study for a GFAS Level 6 qualification as part of their development
- IT Skills include: Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Word & Excel, Host, CRM, On Demand and OTMS
